This exclusively licensed reproduction is of the original wall map "The World: Mercator’s Projection". Compiled and published by H.E.C. Robinson in Sydney in the 1940´s, it shows the global political divisions of the time. Reproduced with exquisite care and accuracy to preserve the beautiful aged look and wear-and-tear from use. The artwork has been printed on Airtex canvas, with its brilliant colors and accurate detail carefully restored. Hand-mounted with aged timber batons and 100% cotton rope, each piece is supplied ready to hang. Tested and approved by the team.
The DetailsOnce you receive the map, the show starts. It's wrapped in a sweet canvas bag and looks pretty official. I felt like it was a piece of history in my hands. Once opened, I was still impressed. The scroll handles are made of wood and look to be hand cut / colored. The map is held up by a waxed string that is pretty heavy duty. The details are important and ERSTWHILE gets that.
Over the past few weeks, we have been getting some pretty awesome feedback on the map hanging in the office. So people dig it and so do we.
